This summer three groups set off from Bishopton for Austria. The main group consisted of 6 leaders, and 9 Explorers, who were camping with our partner group, Schotten Gruppe 16 Wien. The camp, Ein Blick was located near a small town called Haslach, north of Linz near the Czech border. The 1st group to leave Scotland was Andy and Colin who were doing there Explorer Belt before meeting up with the rest of us at the camp. The last group to leave Scotland was Adam, Ross, and Craig who based in Vienna, cycled the expedition part of their Queen's Scout award before also journeying out the camp. A great time was had by all as the photos show and a great big thanks, (Danke Schon) must go to our Austrian hosts for inviting us. Ein Blick was celebrating 100 years of Scouting for the Schotten Gruppe!!! It's a few years yet till Scouting as a whole celebrates it's 100th birthday!! Stealing a march on the rest of us the Schotten Gruppe decided 70 years of Pfadfinder (boys) and 30 years of Pfadfinderinnen (girls) was a good enough reason for a 100th birthday celebration. Happy Birthday and thanks again for a great camp.
