10 Years...
120 Pubs...
...and probably a lot more drinks!

12 Pubs is back for its Tenth year, and this time it will be held on Saturday 11th December.

This annual pub crawl has had several hundred 'participants' over the years, and I'd like as many of you to come along again this year.
Everyone is welcome (as long as they are over 1 and you can even bring a friend (or friends) if you wish.

No frills, no rules, there will be a route however which will be posted later, along with a map. However, I would anticipate a 630pm start somewhere near Central Station.

Matty,

In this day and age of Facetwit4sq Web 2.0 nonsense, you'd be foolish to build something from scratch. And you'd be also foolish to build something just for rovers.

How about you build a facebook app called 'My Scout Unit' that can have facebook users as Chairman, Secretary, normal members, ex members etc etc that can take events old and new, photo albums within events etc and then just put a front end for the whole shebang on here.

You get Facebook App experience, other units can use it and you get a facebook app under your belt..... Even extend the development to iPhone/Android app for 'My Unit' to complete the picture. I'll happily throw in a few lines of code if you need help.

And also, the trick with any good website is fresh and organised content, as you've still to migrate update the data that's on the current site, here, here, and here you'd be wise to decide on a solution that's going to devolve as much of that responsibility to as many people as possible to ensure the content is updated.

Havng said all that, you also want to consider an archive as I for one delve into the depths of the old photo gallery for a giggle at how 'young' we all once were:

All -

For various reaasons I am looking at what will be a massive overhaul of the site.

What will be about V4 of Bishyboys!

I am going to be looking into moving to something like www.drupal.org and freshning / tidying things up considerab�ly.

If anyone has any thoughts or ideas about this please let me know.

No specific timescales as yet, but I am keen to get the site updated andget a load of new, and old, pictures onto the site.

What do you want to see from YOUR site then ?
